Oscar Wilde’s romantic comedy of deception and chicanery, The Importance of Being Earnest, will be presented by the Canal Fulton Players on August 18-20, 25-27, 2017 at a new venue.  Yoga Central is located at 4626 Cleveland Avenue North, Canton, Ohio and gives the players a new perspective as to the presentation of comedies.  Given a large room with a raised stage and numerous doors to enter and exit, the Players are excited in presenting this play in which two men assume th...e same identity to deceive the general public and loved ones.  As the chicanery unravels, they employ other devices to obtain their goals only to find that their loved ones and others use deception to thwart them.  
 Auditions will be held on June 27-28 at Yoga Central, 4626 Cleveland Avenue North, Canton, Ohio at 7:00 pm each night.  All auditioners should be ready to read from the script.  The parts are all open and the auditions are open.  The roles are:
 •	John Worthing, a prime proper landowner who goes to the city to have fun
 •	Algernon Moncrieff, a bohemian type who loves to have a good time
 •	Rev. Canon Chasuble, a minister who is smitten with a fine woman
 •	Merriman, the butler at John Worthing’s estate
 •	Lane, Algernon’s manservant
 •	Lady Bracknell, the snobbish aunt to John and Algernon 
 •	Hon. Gwendolen Fairfax, a head strong woman looking for true love and a good time
 •	Cecily Cardew, an innocent girl who believes in romance in everything
 •	Miss Prism, Cecily’s tutor and a woman with a jaded past
