we wish to submit the following announcement:



Seeking a music director for a musical play telling the story of America through women’s music.  Candidate must demonstrate mastery of various musical styles; be familiar with music from multiple eras with an understanding of how it should be played to achieve the intended effect. The director will have the ability to recognize and correct musical, interpretive, rhythmic, balance problems in an efficient, sequential, and creative manner.
Candidate is required to play at least one (preferably keyboard) and be able to perform music as part of the production from the following artist: Lena Horne, Odetta, Nina Simone, Carole King, Janis Jolin, Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Jospehine Baker, Judy Collins, Gloria Gaynor, Ethel Waters, Bessie Smith, Rhiannon Giddens, Beyonce Knowles, and Jackie DeShannon will be part of the production.
