Registration is now open for Mercury Theatre Company's Hairspray Jr. Day Camp, July 24-August 11, 2017.


Explore your inner actor while gaining valuable life skills in a positive, supportive environment. Mercury Theatre Company is pleased to announce HAIRSPRAY JR. as its 2017 KID COMPANY offering. This unique half-day workshop will present HAIRSPRAY JR. in one special performance, August 12, on the set of the Mercury Theatre Company’s August production of HAIRSPRAY. Designed for students ages 8-12, the program is a three-week intensive workshop, July 24 – August 11, in which students will expand and hone their theatrical skills in a creative and safe environment.



The Nicest Kids In Town



KID COMPANY’s HAIRSPRAY JR. workshop allows you to explore your inner actor while gaining valuable life skills in a positive, supportive environment. Professional actors from the 2017 MTC Company will lead daily workshops designed to instill a deeper understanding about producing and participating in a first-class musical.



BiG Blond And Beautiful



You will not only STAR onstage in the production, but will also be paired with a MTC 2017 Company member “buddy” who will guide you on character and show preparation.



Good Morning Baltimore



No experience necessary. Placement auditions will take place on day one of the workshop. Upon receipt of your registration form and $25 non-refundable deposit, you will receive a link to the soundtrack to become familiar with the music in the show.

Your $250 tuition includes one ticket to Opening Night of Hairspray on Mercury’s mainstage, August 4 at 7:30 pm. Sibling discounts & extended care are also available (call 216-771-5862 for details). Space for KID COMPANY 2017 is limited to 32 actors. Registration is on a first-come basis.
