Meaningful Experiences for Aging Audiences at Arts Midwest

Verb Ballets', Co-Education and Outreach Coordinator, Desmond Davis will be leading a professional development workshop with Christy Farnbauch, former Innovation and Engagement Director for the Ohio Arts Council at the Arts Midwest Conference 2017 in Columbus. They will be presenting a workshop titled "Meaningful Experiences for Aging Audiences: Exploring Possibilities and Impact". After a successful workshop at National Arts Marketing Project Conference last year on engaging older adults in the arts They were invited to make the same presentation at the Arts MidWest conference. Davis will talk about Verb Ballets' successful Moving Connections program. Their presentation will address the changing demographics of older adults who participate in the arts and ways to shift mindsets from viewing older adults as a challenge to an asset.
