After a string of sold-out appearances at BLU Jazz+, Akron's wildly popular Dave Banks Big Band returns featuring special guest vocalists Michael Sonata & Sandra Emerick with a swingin' early evening concert showcasing the music popularized by "Ol' BLU Eyes," Frank Sinatra!
Michael Sonata is one of the most sought after Frank Sinatra tribute artists in the country. His vocal styling and presence is second only to the masterful embodiment of the singing legend himself. Michael Sonata is truly the Frank Sinatra experience.

Trumpeter & bandleader David Banks has returned to the Northeast Ohio area after a twenty-year career in Las Vegas, Nevada. He performed in over 4,000 shows there including numerous top production shows – including six years with the “City Lights” Show at the Flamingo Hilton and the “Moulin Rouge” at the Las Vegas Hilton. He worked with virtually every major entertainer in show business on the famous Las Vegas Strip and also was a member of the renowned Lou Elias Relief Orchestra. 
Sandra Emerick sings with ParkPlace band and has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity since 2007, and has performed throughout Northeast Ohio in over 50 theatre productions. Shows include Chicago (Velma and Roxie), Light in the Piazza (Margaret), Evita (Eva Peron), Man of La Mancha (Aldonza), Little Shop of Horror (Audrey), Gypsy (Mama Rose), Kiss Me Kate (Kate), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeny), and West Side Story (Anita). Look for Sandra this fall with the Dave Banks big band in their Andrew Sisters Tribute.
