Stocker Arts Center Presents “Apollo To The Moon”

Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center presents "Apollo To The Moon" at 9:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Monday, October 2 in the Hoke Theatre as part of the Student Matinee Series.

The show, by Mary Hall Surface, was created for and originally designed and performed by Kevin Reese. Now Virginia Rep on Tour brings it to Stocker Arts Center. “Apollo To The Moon” is recommended for grades 3 through 12.  The audience members follow Scott Gibson, a young astronomer, who dreams of becoming an astronaut in the historic Apollo Space program. This one man multimedia performance features music of the 1950s and ’60s, original downlink broadcasts from space and more than 100 NASA photographs.
