Stocker Arts Center Presents “The Queen’s Cartoonists”

Stocker Arts Center at Lorain County Community College presents The Queen’s Cartoonists in “Music from Classic Cartoons” at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 28 in the Hoke Theater as part of the Random Acts Series. Families can enjoy a night of familiar tunes from composers including Danny Elfman, John Williams, Raymond Scott, Carl Stalling, John Kirby and Alf Clausen while some of your favorite cartoons play in the background.

The musicians perform pieces that were written or adapted for classic Warner Brothers cartoons, modern animation and others. The band’s repertoire includes music from the 1920s all the way to the present day. Audience members will revisit melodies from the Swing Era and beyond featured in Looney Tunes cartoons, Disney classics, The Simpsons and more. The group has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune and on NPR.

Tickets are available now for $20 each or $10 for LCCC students with valid ID, children 18 and under and active duty military with a valid ID. Senior tickets are $18 each.
