[NEohioPAL] Music and the Movies at Lakewood Library Sunday

Can you imagine Casablanca without Dooley Wilson singing “As Time Goes By”?
And yet that song and Wilson’s rendition of it almost ended up on the
cutting room floor. Listen, reminisce and learn a little film history at
“Music and the Movies,” an entertaining and informative program featuring
memorable songs and interesting stories about what happened behind the
scenes during the making of some of your favorite classic Hollywood films.
Featured films include Casablanca, Swing Time, A Star is Born, Brigadoon,
Singin’ in the Rain, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and many more.

The program features vocalist Eileen Burns and her jazz combo comprised of
excellent professional jazz musicians. Miss Burns’ performing credits
include a year traveling around the world as the female vocalist for the
World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra and five years as the female
host/singer with the long-running Midnight Martini Show. Currently she is
the lead singer of popular local swing band, Red Light Roxy.
