*What:  Latitudes Poetry Night at Compass Coffee*

*When:  Wednesday, October 18 at 7pm*

This month, Latitudes is excited to host *Dan Smith*, who will turn our
October reading into Octo-beat! Settle in with a cup of coffee or tea while
Dan shares his Beat-movement influenced poems. *Don't forget to bring a
piece to read during our open-mic! *

dan smith is the author of two poetry chapbooks: Crooked River published by
Deep Cleveland Press and The Liquid of Her Skin, the Suns of Her Eyes
published by Night Ballet Press. He has been published in the Rhysling
Anthology, Dwarf Stars Anthology and Renegade Flowers: d.a. levy in the
Digital Revolution. He has won and also been a third place winner of the
Hessler Street Fair Poetry Contest. His poems have been published by
Scifaikuest, Sein und Werden & Speed Poets to name a few. He recently had
three poems up at failedhaiku.com

The dan smith and the Deep Cleveland Trio CD will be available at the
reading for a bargain price. Latitudes takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of
every month at Compass Coffee in Akron.
