*Auditions:*  Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6 at 7:30 pm. No
appointment is required.
Please bring current photo or headshot along with your resume and schedule
conflicts.

*Show Dates:* March 9 - 31, 2018 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm,
Sunday at 2pm)

*SILENT SKY* presents the real-life story of Henrietta Leavitt and the
women working behind the scenes at the dawn of modern astronomy. Henrietta
leaves her family in Wisconsin to join a group of women “computers” at the
Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, where she is not even allowed to
touch a telescope or express an original idea. Balancing her dedication to
science with family obligations and the possibility of love, she makes a
breakthrough discovery that enables astronomers to calculate the distance
between Earth and remote galaxies and stars. A celestial romance and true
story of discovery.

*CAST OF CHARACTERS*

*Women:*
*Henrietta Leavitt* –30s, brilliant, meticulous, excited.  Works at Harvard
Observatory charting stars for the male astronomers.

*Margaret Leavitt *– 30s, homebody, creative, sweet.  Henrietta's sister in
Wisconsin.

*Annie Cannon *– 40s/50s, terse, confident.  Henrietta's co-worker and the
leader of the "girls" at the Observatory.

*Williamina Fleming* - 40s/50s, smart as a whip, fun, Scottish.
Henrietta's co-worker.

*Men: Peter Shaw* – 30s, handsome, a bit bumbling.  Head astronomer's
apprentice at Harvard Observatory.

Auditioners will be asked to read from the script.  A perusal script is
available at the Clague Playhouse Box Office for a $10 deposit through
December 2, 2017.
