Russian Grand Ballet's "Swan Lake" Comes to LCCC's Stocker Arts Center


The Russian Grand Ballet presents their production of "Swan Lake" at Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts Center at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 16. Attendees can enjoy this rare opportunity to see the Russian Grand Ballet's full-length classical production of the world's most famous ballet.



This presentation of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" will include the rarely seen Waltz of the Black Swans and features Russia's brightest ballet stars. The story begins when Odette, a beautiful princess, falls under the spell of an evil sorcerer. Only Prince Siegfried's devotion can save her. "Swan Lake" combines pure romanticism and tragedy, in a magical tale of love and deception. The glorious score and gravity-defying choreography have enchanted audiences for over a century, and continue to inspire new generations of dancers and music lovers of all ages.

Stocker Arts Center at LCCC Presents Signature Series Concert: Transient Canvas

Lorain County Community College's arts and humanities division presents a free Signature Series Concert "Transient Canvas" at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21 at the Cirigliano Studio Theatre in Stocker Arts Center.

"Looking Forward, Looking Back" features music by David Coll, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Clifton Ingram, Beau Kenyon, Emily Koh and Adam Roberts.  Amy Advocat will perform on the bass clarinet and Matt Sharrock on the marimba.

Stocker Arts Center Hosts Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra in Concert

Lorain County Community College will host Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra in Concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28 in the Hoke Theatre at the Stocker Arts Center. The concert, conducted by Vinay Parameswaran, will feature Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, Barber's Symphony No. 1 and Prokofiev's Selections from Romeo and Juliet.

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra is one of Northern Ohio's premier musical destinations for aspiring student musicians. It provides serious young music students of middle school and high school age with a pre-professional orchestral training experience in a full symphony orchestra.

The concert is free. No tickets are needed.
