Individuals with great ideas to keep accelerating NEO can submitthem to Accelerate: Citizens Make Change, a “civic pitch” event presented byCleveland Leadership Center and Citizens Bank. The deadline is Thursday, November30, 2017, to submit your idea via a simple online application. Civic pitchescan be made in the categories of Community Change, Economic and WorkforceDevelopment, Education, Health and Wellness, and Quality of Life– which iswhere great ideas about arts and cultural initiatives can be entered. Pastsubmissions have included a youth poetry project, outdoor art/exerciseinstallations, drumming as a means of self-exploration and creating a localmovie-making industry.
 
Pitches can be “one-and-done” projects or sustainable, ongoingefforts, but must be from individuals, not from or on behalf of organizations.Winners receive seed funding and everyone gets community exposure to help bringtheir vision to reality.
