Independence CommunityTheatre is pleased to announce auditions for “Play On!”  
 
Auditions will be held:
·        Wednesday,December 6th from 7 to 9 pm
·        Thursday,December 7th from 7 to 9 pm
 
Roles:  3 male, 7 female:

 
AGGIE MANVILLE - a stage     manager and prompter.
 
GERALDINE "GERRY"     DUNBAR - a community theatre director.
 
HENRY BENISH ("Lord     Dudley") - a Character Actor.
 
POLLY BENISH ("Lady     Margaret") - a Character Actress.
 
MARLA "SMITTY" SMITH     ("Doris the maid") - a supporting player.
 
SAUL WATSON ("Doctor Rex     Forbes") - a Villain.
 
BILLY CAREWE ("Stephen     Sellers") -a Juvenile.
 
VIOLET IMBRY ("Diana     Lassiter") - an Ingenue.
 
LOUISE PEARY - a     sound-and-lighting-and-scenic technician.
 
PHYLLIS MONTAGUE - a novice     playwright in the community.

Location:  Independence Old Town Hall, 6652 Brecksville Rd, Independence OH (upstairs). 
 
§   Come prepared to audition with an English accent.
§   You will be reading from the script, download the sides on our website audition page if you like: http://www.independencetheatre.org/auditions.html.
§   Please bring any conflicts.
 
Rehearsals:  begin January 15th; will be held Monday -Thursday at 7 pm.


Performance Dates: Friday and Saturday, March 2, 3; 9, 10; 16,17, 2018 at 8:00 pm; Sunday matinee March 11 at 2:00 pm.
 
ShowSynopsis:  This is thehilarious story of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play in spiteof maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script.Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dressrehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything thatcan go wrong, does. When the author decides to give a speech on the state ofthe modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to amadcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp.
