Cuyahoga Community College is casting several roles for advanced-level
student films that are slated to begin production in Spring 2018. Details
for each film are included in this posting. If you are interested in
auditioning, please complete the form here. If you would like to schedule

VOICES OF COLOR: THE ONE THAT GAVE YOU A NAME: A reflection on the
complexities of being a black woman and the continuous inner-battle of
self-love.

BOX MAN: A mute alien is rejected by his own kind and is left to adapt to
the strange and environment. LUNCH: When Death meets Emily for lunch, she
is faced with her mortality, and questions how she’s been living. This film
is accepting video auditions only at this time.

THE IMMORTAL GAME (fashion film) (voice over actor needed).

CAUGHT UP (Crime Drama): Mia is a 20-year-old housekeeper raising her
younger brother, Rick. They're struggling for money but Mia plans get Rick
into college and off the streets by any means necessary.

OFF THE MAP (Sci-fi Adventure): A US government research organization
brings together and sends specialists on an expedition to an undiscovered
part of the world in a dense, mysterious rainforest in South America.

HAMMER DOWN (drama, comedy): JJ is a senior at Northfield High School,
lives in an old apartment, and has no driver license and even though his
father, Joel, travels around the world, races, and performs dangerous
stunts. Joel attempts to teach JJ how to drive and form their long-overdue
father-son relationship.

INSIDE (drama): Two roommates find themselves stuck in their apartment when
an emergency alert confines them to their home. They struggle with each
other and themselves when they begin to run out of supplies.

BOMB SANDWICH: RYE ANOTHER DAY (Comedy): An comically irreverent silent
film, written for the Charlie Chaplin Center for Creativity.

with their play. They meet Box Man on the side of the road and give him a
ride.

[LITTLE GIRL] [FEMALE] [AGE: 7-11]
The little girl is having a good time on the playground, she sees a man
with a box on his head on the same swing set with her and tries to play
with him. Box Man ends up accidentally pushing the Little Girl off the
swing.

[TOPO] [MALE] [AGE 16-21]
No one really knows why Topo is so weird, Topo doesn’t even really know
why. He’s just trying to hangout and high school is such a bore for him. He
meets Box Man at a gas station.

Dwight is a goofy highschooler who loves Battle Star Galactica, hanging out
with friends, and wasting time. He meets Box Man at a gas station.

Harry is kind a quiet guy, who always seems to be a little perplexed by
what is going on. He meets Box Man at a gas station.

Laura is a natural flirt, and a little bit of a tomboy. The rest of her
friends understand her flirtatious tendencies. When she meets Box Man at a
gas station, Box man misinterprets Laura and those lines become a bit

The cashier works for Dean Rufus House Of Fun, but would much rather be

Although he is a Grim Reaper, he still has a life. Balancing work and
personal life may not be easy but he tries his best. When he brings his son
to work he has to balance being the taker of souls, and a loving father.

He is an impatient child who is excited to be with his dad at work. He
doesn’t quite understand what it’s like to be a reaper but is learning
things as he goes along.

shut off the two of them become less comfortable with their situation. As
things worsen and they become more desperate they become at odds with each

BOMB SANDWICH: RYE ANOTHER DAY (Comedy)
Director: Trenton Garrison

An irreverent comedy, written for the Charlie Chaplin Center for
Creativity. This narrative is intended to reintroduce today’s youth to the
wonders of comedic silent film.

Logline: A gaggle of ex-city employees pursue a kid whom they accuse of
eating their sandwich laden with explosives. Amateur terrorists attempt to
locate their previously captured victim after their plans go awry and they
come across many silly obstacles along the way.

Synopsis: After their initial plans to use the pickle bomb to blow up tower
city gets foiled. The terrorists go on a wild search for “the fat kid” when
he escapes after the explosion out of fear that he may expose them.

Filming Locations: Indoor/ Outdoor scenes. Downtown Cleveland
