Please prepare the following:

*Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show(DO NOT SING FROM
THE SHOW), bring sheet music in the appropriate key (accompanist will be
provided).

* All those auditioning will be taught one or more musical cuts from the
show and may be asked to read from the script.

*Bring a headshot and resume

*Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have during the rehearsal
period.

Coach House does not pre-cast without prior announcement.



Rehearsals: Regular Rehearsals will start April 15th.

Rehearsals will be held based on actor availability. 4-5 days a week
expected. Sunday-Thursday 7-10,. Rehearsal Schedule will be posted shortly
after casting is completed.

No conflicts will be accepted for any performance dates or during tech week.



Coach House does not offer union contracts or cast understudies and all
performers are volunteers.



Show Information:

Based on an astounding and outrageous true story, Anna Edson Taylor, who,
in 1901 at the age of 63, set out to be the first woman to shoot Niagara
Falls in a barrel of her own design. Navigating both the treacherous Falls
and a fickle public with a ravenous appetite for sensationalism, this
unconventional heroine vies for her legacy in a world clamoring with
swindling managers, assassins, revolutionaries, moralizing family,
anarchists and activists. Convinced that there is greatness in her and
determined not to live as ordinary, she sets out to battle her fear and
tempt her fate. With a soaring score that incorporates turn of the century
themes with LaChiusa’s signature complexity and insight, Queen of the Mist
is the story of a single great fall, and how one woman risked death so that
she could live.



Casting Requirements

Looking for a cast of 6, All ages for all roles. All Races,Genders, and
Ethnicities will be considered for all parts.

Darling, Panhandlers, a Train Conductor, a Carnival Barker, Blondin,
Captain Nissen, Maud Willard, T.J. Preston, Ellen King, Charles Mason Dow,
Mr. Rudetsky (a barrel copper), River Man, River Boy, Woman Reporter, a
Spectator, A Blonde (Martha Frankenfuhrer), A New Manager, A Stage Manager.
