DATES OF AUDITIONS:

Sunday, January 28 at 7:00pm

Monday, January 29 at 7:00pm

REHEARSALS run Sunday thru Thursday.  Actors will only be called as needed.

REHEARSALS BEGIN:

Sunday, February 25

Performances:

April 20- May 13

Come prepared to sing 16 to 32 measures of a song. Bring your own sheet
music.

Dress fo rmovement.

There will be cold readings from the script.

*ROLES AVAILABLE:   *

ANNIE OAKLEY-Lead Female, young backwoods woman who transforms from dirty
illiterate to the star of Buffalo Bill’s show by virtue of her expert
marksmanship and sunny disposition. Fantastic Singer (Belter) and good
comedic timing.  Low G-High F **

 FRANK BUTLER- Leading man. Best marksman inthe world – until Annie comes
along. Masculine and romantic. Lyric Baritone.Low A-High F.

 BUFFALO BILL CODY- Major Domo of the traveling show. Retired old west
military man. Huge presence, showman. Baritone. Low B –High F.

 DOLLY TATE- Frank’s original partner in the show. Wild with jealousy over
Annie’s success. Belter.

 CHARLIE DAVENPORT- Stage manager of the travelling show. Seen it all
roadie. Capable, direct, exasperated with the craziness of the tour.
Baritone.

 WINNIE TATE- Dolly’s pretty younger sister and chorus girl in the show.
Falls in love with and marries Tommy Keeler – a scandal.Dancer. Light
belter.

 TOMMY KEELER- Half Irish/Half Indian. Marries Winnie, much to Dolly’s
dismay. Dancer. Light Baritone/Tenor.

CHIEF SITTING BULL- Wise old Native American leader. Dryly hilarious.

 MAC- The Prop man for the Wild West Show

 JESSIE- Annie's 14-year-old sister who is partof the family hunting
business.

 NELLIE- Annie's 12 year-old sister, also partof the family hunting
business.

 LITTLE JAKE- Annie's 8-to-10-year-old brother,her "bird dog" who flushes
out game for her to shoot.

 PAWNEE BILL- Buffalo Bill’s primary competition. A somewhat oilier, less
respectable version of Buffalo Bill.

 FOSTER WILSON- crusty old hotel manager. Grump who’s got an eye for a
buck.

MRS. SYLVIA POTTER-PORTER- an elegant society lady.

ENSEMBLE ROLES: Children, teens and adults of all ages are needed to play
Cowboys,Indians, Roustabouts, Squaws, Cowgirls, Royals of Europe, New York
Socialites.Special talents for members of the ensemble include rope
twirlers, guitar pickers, gymnasts and tumblers, mandolin or fiddle
players, tap dancers, Indian hoop dancers, and whistlers. All voice types
needed.

Director encourages family participation in his shows.
