[NEohioPAL] Cantankerous old women, one upmanship, secret bets, comedy and firetrucks.

Auditions will be held on January 7 and 8 for Ripcord by David
Lindsay-Abaire and produced by special arrangement with Dramatist Play
Service at the Heritage Barn located at 5238 Young Road Stow, Ohio from 7
PM to 9 PM each evening.

The Story: A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the
Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is
forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice
but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A
seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a
dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these
worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain
hidden.

 Cast consists of 3 women and 3 men who can play these ranges:

Abby Binder – senior home resident 60 – 80

Marilyn Dunne – senior home resident 60 – 80

Scotty – Resident Aide 20-30

Benjamin, Lewis & Clown – 40s

Colleen & Woman in White – 30-40s

Derek, Zombie Butler and Masked Man – 30-40s

 No AEA contracts available for this show.

Auditions will consist of cold reading of scenes from the show.

Please be prepared to stay for entire time and bring your headshot /
resume, and conflict calendar for January 22 thru March 24.
