spotlights theater presents coffee house show“almost, maine”, a romantic comedy Almost, Maine is the Broadview HeightsSpotlights’ annual Coffee House production. It runs February 9 through February24, 2018. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30PM and there will be aSunday matinee on February 18 at 3PM. All shows will be at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, 9543Broadview Road (next to the police station).  Therewill be a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic) all evening, and anextended intermission where luscious desserts will be available forpurchase.  Coffee house sponsors includeCaruso’s Coffee, Michael Angelo’s Bakery, and Creekside Cafe. Show Synopsis: On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middleof winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town ofAlmost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above,Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected andoften hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruisesheal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night'sdream. ALMOST, MAINE is a series ofamiably absurdist vignettes about love, with a touch of good-natured magicrealism.The show written by John Cariani, directed by Christopher Bizub and co-produced by Annette Phelps and Karen Johnston. The cast includes Austin Sasser, Bob Kenderes, Casey McCaan, Dan Hunsicker, Elaine Gritti, Emmy Cohen, Jenilee Taylor, Kaylea Kudlaty, Natalie Zenczak, Sally Spitz, Sarah Price, and Stephanie Malfara. It is produced through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York, NY.
