[NEohioPAL] AUDITIONS FOR "DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE" AT LCCC

Lorain County Community College Theatre Department is looking for students
and community members to audition for its Spring Mainstage production, the
imaginative, new comedy DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE, by MacArthur “Genius” Grant
recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Sarah Ruhl. The production will be
directed by Rachael Endrizzi.


*WHERE TO GO:*

The Cirigliano Studio Theatre in the The Stocker Arts Center, Lorain County
Community College campus, 1005 Abbe Rd. N, Elyria, OH


*WHEN TO BE THERE:*

*Sunday, February 18 2-5pm or*

*Monday, February 19 7-10pm*

With possible callbacks Tuesday, February 20, 7-10pm


Rehearsals will begin Monday, March 5th (with flexibility over Spring
Break) and performance dates are April 26th, 27th & 28th. If you are cast,
expect to rehearse Monday through Thursday evenings, as well as weekend
afternoons, for 4 to 5 hours.

There will be no reserved time slots, so be prepared to stay for the entire
block of time.


*WHAT TO PREPARE:*

Please prepare one contemporary monologue 2-minutes or less, OR two
contrasting monologues 1-minute or less. You may be also be asked to read
selections from the script and to improvise with other members of your
audition group.


There are 6 roles available, 2m/4f:

*JEAN* - a woman
*GORDON* - a dead man
*MRS. GOTTLIEB* - Gordon's mother
*HERMIA* - Gordon's Widow
*DWIGHT* - Gordon's brother

*THE OTHER WOMAN/THE STRANGER* - has an accent


Scripts are available peruse until February 15th at the reserved desk at
the LCCC Bass Library.


*PLEASE ALSO COME PREPARED TO WRITE DOWN ALL YOUR SCHEDULE CONFLICTS
BETWEEN MARCH 5 AND APRIL 28, 2018*.
