CLEVELAND STATE UNIVERSITY CASTING DAY

The Cleveland State University School of Film & Media Arts will be holding
a casting day for all actors on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. on the ground floor of the CSU Music and Communications
Building, 2001 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115. Specific room directions
will be provided onsite at a registration table in the lobby.

The purpose of the casting day is to give actors the opportunity to expand
the breadth of their experience to include screen acting as well as stage
and to give student filmmakers the chance to observe potential actors in a
face-to-face environment to enhance casting decisions as they are made in
their class projects. We will be shooting the auditions in the Studio for
the implementation of a new School of Film & Media Arts actor database that
will be available to students creating original productions in the Film
School. The database will include actor contact information, headshot,
resume and agency affiliation (or not) and the 1-2 minute audition clip,
which will be shot with multiple cameras. There will not be compensation
for participation in these projects or the auditions.

Each actor will need to register online at
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090444aca82fabfe3-csucasting as part of a
10-minute block of time and will need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior
to their particular time slot. The actor shall:

1. Provide a current resume
2. Provide an appropriate headshot (if available)
3. Present a one-two (1-2) minute monologue

The audition will be filmed by the CSU School of Film & Media Arts and will
be available to the actor as well as prospective filmmakers as casting
needs occur. These auditions are open to all professional, student, and
aspiring actors. Involvement in high quality student productions is a great
way to build actor reels and get on-set experience as we develop
Cleveland’s film infrastructure together.
