LCCC’s Stocker Arts Center Hosts Helen Welch “Superstar: Celebrating the Music of the Carpenters”

Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center presents Helen Welch – “Superstar: Celebrating the Music of the Carpenters” on Saturday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Hoke Theatre of Stocker Arts Center.

Broadway vocalist and Grammy nominee Welch celebrates the magic and music of the Carpenters. The show highlights all of the songs Karen Carpenter fans know and love, along with some fascinating stories about the brother/sister duo. Helen’s distinctive alto voice settles in perfectly amidst the precise, lush arrangements provided by her band performing Carpenters classics such as "Close To You," "We’ve Only Just Begun," "Superstar," "Yesterday Once More," "Top of the World" and many more.
