[NEohioPAL] Audition for Short Films and Videos at Tri-C

Attention Beginner and Intermediate Level Actors - it's Time to Audition !

YOU'RE AUDITIONING FOR: Cuyahoga Community College's beginner level film
and video students - who are about to produce several short projects
(entry-level music videos, commercials, drama monologues, and ultra-short
narrative films). See some SAMPLES of previously created content further
down on this page. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking" class, taught by Prof.
Bruno Tatalovic. Several students who completed this course in previous
years – are now proud graduates of Tri-C, and newly established Cleveland
film artists, videographers, and PAs on big union films shot in Ohio! :)

WHEN: March 23 (Fri), any time between 9:15am and 1pm. WHERE: Tri-C Campus
in Parma (11000 W Pleasant Valley rd), room C123.

WHO SHOULD COME: This type of collaboration is perfect for beginner (or
intermediate) level actors who need more footage for their first demo-reel.
Each of these projects feature 1-2 actors only, and gives you a lot of
screen time and dialogue or monologue lines. These are unpaid (volunteer /
collaborate) productions. Get your first credit, your acting demo, and
establish new relationships with like-minded content creators. Also, if you
have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that you have what
it takes - COME and try out!

PROJECTS TIMELINE: These projects are 1 day (half a day) productions,
sometimes in March-April (based on actors' availability). The students must
complete their video editing by early May. The videos will be available
online, and actors will receive their HD copy, and proper name-credits as
well.

AUDITION: It's a “walk-in” audition (cold read from our scripts or short
personal monologue - if desired). If you wish to attend, bring the
following:
-- headshot or any decent picture of yourself (any size);
-- acting resume (even if it’s very minimal);
-- no resume: have personal contact info (or business card);

WHERE: Tri-C Campus in Parma, Ohio (11000 W Pleasant Valley Rd, park in
"visitor"; walk to C-wing); If lost on campus - ask police officers to show
you C-111 area).

INVITE your actor friends. Join us! Only actors who ATTEND this audition in
person will be considered for our projects. If students don't find
appropriate talent at this audition - they might consider additional talent
(but the preference will be given to those who show up). SAG-AFTRA members
are welcome, but they must prepare and coordinate union paperwork
themselves. The beginner level students are not fully prepared (at this
level) to handle advanced professional level producing duties, such as
union contracts. Plus, the union requires paperwork well in advance.

MINORS: if you're under 18 years of age, your parent must give you
permission to audition and act. Bring your parent, or have him/her sign a
form - giving you permission.

ACTORS-WRITERS: If you are screenwriter-actor, or if you have an amazing
location that student can use - feel free to pitch your own idea or short
script, BUT it must follow our educational content rules and guidelines
(see sample projects below, to get an idea). Or stop by, and chat with us.
