the Media Arts and Filmmaking program at Tri-C, Voices of Color: the one
who gave you a name is a reflective visual poem on the complexities of
black womanhood set to film in Cleveland landmarks.The One Who Gave You a
Name is about the impact mother-daughter relationships have within the
black community; how black women view themselves and the world around them.
