*ABOUT THE PLAY: “A THURBER CARNIVAL”*
is a series of comic sketches based on the short stories, cartoons and
fables of James Thurber, one of America’s greatest humorists. Co-written by
Thurber and Cleveland-born actor Burgess Meredith, the 1960 revue won a
Tony Award and has influenced comedy revues from Laugh-In to Second City to
Saturday Night Live, as well as TV series like “My World and Welcome To It”
and movies like “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.”
