Stocker Arts Center Presents “Frindle”

Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center presents “Frindle” at 9:45 and 11:45 a.m. on Monday, April 16 as part of the Student Matinee Series at the Hoke Theatre of Stocker Arts Center.


Nicholas Allen has plenty of ideas. When he ends up in Mrs. Granger’s language arts class, he has his best idea ever. He decides to create his own word, “frindle.” Before long Nick’s word creates a buzz in his school, his town and then to his surprise it spreads all around the country, and a power struggle erupts with the strict Mrs. Granger. Based on the multiple award-winning best-selling novel by Andrew Clements this quirky, imaginative tale explores creative thought and the power of words. The show runs 55 minutes and is geared toward children in grades three to seven. Tickets for the Stocker Arts Center Student Matinee Series events are $5 each and are available for schools and the general public.
