Goodbye grey skies, Hello blue! Fonzie, Richie, Joanie and Pinky are back in Happy Days: A New Musical at Marion L Steele High School’s Award Winning Theatre Company! Come see your favorite TV show characters, back again with more shenanigans, this time live on stage! The infamous diner Arnold’s is in danger of demolition, so the Milwaukee gang decides to save it. The plan is to host a wrestling match to raise money to save Arnold’s, but it all hinges on Fonzie, who suddenly gets a case of cold feet. About Us:
The MLS Theatre Company is a student-run organization. Every student involved in the productions is between the ages 14-18 and students take care of every aspect of the theatre productions. With a director, tech director, and assistant sponsor supervising, students are given leadership positions in order to design and build the sets, lights, sound, props, costumes, makeup, programs, publicity, and programs for the theatre. Students also run the Box Office and front of house. Each year, three shows are put on for the public. This year's season includes Radium Girls, student directed Winter Festival of Plays and the spring musical, Happy Days, a New Musical.
This is the third year the spring musical has competed in Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards program presented by Patricia and John Chapman. Marion L Steele High School received Dazzle awards in 2016 for Best Featured Performer for Shawn Hammel as the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, and in 2017 for Best Costumes for their production of Guys and Dolls.
