Cleveland Ballet sells out premiere of Alice on May 11 and 12.

CLEVELAND, OH April 27, 2018: Cleveland Ballet’s much-anticipated premiere of Alice is coming up, and is already completely sold-out. Choreographed by Tony Award nominated choreographer Margo Sappington, this original production re-imagines the Lewis Caroll’s classic tale as a ballet set in a balle-epoch inspired circus ring. The show is set to an eclectic original score, including live music by string quartet Opus 216 plus accompanied by an accordion and trumpet player. The dancers will perform in an open set that allows the audience to witness characters transform, designed by Cameron Caley Michalak. Finally, with lighting design by Bob Steinek, fanticiful costumes by Sam Meredith and Natasha Guruleva and of course incredible dancing from Cleveland Ballet’s wonderful cast, this show is sure to be memorable!

Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe comments, “We are so proud and excited to have two sold out performances of Cleveland Ballet’s World premiere production of ‘Alice.’ Choreography by the one and only Margo Sappington, this production is phenomenal! In only 3 years Cleveland Ballet has become well known, not only in Cleveland but in the nation and around the globe! Very proud of our artists, staff and supporters. THANK YOU CLEVELAND!
