There’s still time to submit your original show to Theatre in the Circle’s COCOON incubator for new musicals.

Theatre in the Circle's COCOON  is an incubator for new musicals where ideas, songs, characters, scripts and scores can develop and get professional support and mentoring. There are local new play workshops and development opportunities, but no one locally is offering a place to grow fledgling musicals. 

Imagine Playwrights Local, Playwrights Gym, Test Flight and Entry Point in 5/4 time on Sondheim-steroids.  “Putting it together” with a  faculty of veteran musical theatre mavens: playwrights, composers, story tellers, conductors, musicians, directors, designers and producers will review submissions, offer suggestions and help musical theater imagineers  refine concepts, clear thorny plot problems, restructure and consider appropriate questions.

Promising projects will be selected for workshops, staged readings or even fully-realized productions.  COCOON submissions are now being accepted.
