We are casting for a Full Feature length Movie in Canton, OH. This movie
will be about the everyday life of a Comic Shop Owner and his Various
Customers. If interested please contact Dualphoenix71 at gmail.com or come to
the Casting Call at the Stark County Main Branch Library at 715 Market Ave
N, Canton, OH 44702 on June 30th from 1-4 PM. The following is a list of
Character Sides:

TOM — 50 something year old Shop Owner.
Tom almost always seems happy. He is quick-witted, intelligent, easy
going, and a fountain of knowledge both comic book oriented and other. He
is hard to anger but not someone you want to deal with when he gets angry.
He is charitable to a fault... some might call him an “easy touch” but his
charity stops if he thinks someone is trying to take advantage of him. He
tries not to be judgmental but is still a good judge of character.

BOB (JON) – Customer/friend/employee.
Jon seems happy-go-lucky but that facade hides his depression and low
self-esteem. He seems to speak without a filter but, in truth, measures
his every statement. He is very intelligent and a voracious reader. He is
sharp-witted with a tongue to match.

ANGIE (DANI) – Defender of those she cares about and also Jon’s wife.
Dani is very intelligent but worries that others do not notice and only see
her as “Jon's Wife”. She is not someone a person wants to get on the wrong
side of. If she believes in something she is nearly fanatic in her loyalty
and is devastated if the person or thing lets her down.

WAYNE (SHANE) - mid 20s not the brightest bulb in the chandelier possibly
from taking one too many falls from ladders while doing local wrestling
shows.
Shane is actually much smarter than he would seem at first glance but since
he often is the last to get the joke seems like a bit of a dullard. He is
good looking and knows he is and in his world, that is more important than
being smart.

KAREN - mid-20s Shane’s wife.
Karen is a very pretty lady with a great shape and impeccable taste which
makes it a puzzle as to why she is married to Shane. She has probably
never had many close friends just people who wanted to be around her
because of who she was and how she looked, therefore, she doesn't trust
many people. She is very much used to getting her own way.

DEBRA (SUSAN) - Late teens hot looking girl who wandered into the shop one
day and for some inexplicable reason, becomes totally enamored with Tom.
Susan is a very intelligent person...her knowledge is way beyond her
years. She is very defensive and very feisty. Unfortunately, she has been
Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, and Sexually abused most of her life.
She is being raised by “foster Parents” who do not treat her very well and
is generally a loner who does not fit in very well anywhere. Being
accepted by Tom has been a new experience and she is trying very hard to
understand why...In the past, the only reason men wanted anything to do
with her always involved sex and she can't wrap her mind around there being
any other reason. She has EXTREMELY low self-esteem.

TREVOR (TRAV) - Mid-late 20s Afro-American man.
Trev is a fairly angry young man. He has gotten into quite a bit of
trouble as he just does not believe rules and laws apply to him. He seldom
takes responsibility for his actions. He considers himself a lady’s man
and does have more than a few sexual encounters notched in his belt but
probably has little understanding of true love. Despite all those flaws he
is, at heart a good guy who is always eager to help people who need help.

BEN (CHRIS) - Mid-late 20s Afro-American man…Trev’s buddy from childhood.
Chris comes from a very dysfunctional family (his mother is an alcoholic
and his father completely out of the picture). Despite having spent much
of his younger years running wild on the streets he has a good grasp of
right and wrong and has never been arrested. He grew up feeling like the
runt of the litter so it is very important to him to be strong. His
physique is very important to him and he is always working out.
Unfortunately, he is less worried about his mental physique and thus not
very good scholastically.

(Both Ben and Trevor look to Tom as a father figure)

OFFICER DAN (designated O. D.)- local cop.
Dan has known Tom since he was in College (so long before he became a
police officer). Dan is very honest and his job is very important to him
and he does it very well. He and Tom joke about Dan's lack of enthusiasm
but Dan is diligent in making certain he does his job as well as he can.
He truly tries to make a difference at making the city safe. However, when
he is in the shop he is just one more “Kid in A Comic Shop” ...Though he is
not against playing the “I Am The Law” card to win an argument with the
other “Kids”.

NORBERT - customer.
We really do not know much about Norbert but judging by his interactions
one would gather he has not been treated well by others most of his life.
He is socially awkward, shy, and used to being made fun of. It takes all
the courage he can muster just to walk into the shop and ask about “His
Magazine” all the while fearing he will be made fun of or physically
assaulted...just for being different.

ROBIN - A local hooker.
Robin's situation is not that much different than many other women who get
caught up in this sort of street life. She is a smart, vulnerable, lady
who fell for the wrong guy and lost everything she once had. She is not
strung out on any hard drugs so she has a chance to escape this life but
that window of escape is getting smaller and smaller. “Life on the
Streets” is starting to take its toll on her. She is becoming more jaded
and there is a hardness creeping into both her looks and her attitude.

RICH (RON) – Customer/friend.
Rich is “The New Guy”. He has only been coming into the shop for a few
weeks but he has found a “home” among these other members of this
non-exclusive club. He is amiable, relatively intelligent and quite able
to hold his own in any conversation/ discussion/argument with the rest of
the “Gang”.

MARK - mid 20s Yuppie type but very gay.
Mark wears his homosexuality like a “Badge of honor” probably because he
had to keep it hidden for so many years of his life. There is a bit of an
edge to Mark. He has been humiliated and abused for most of his life so is
generally defensive and very quick to strike back if he thinks he is being
attacked.

JOE – a generic customer

GEORGE – a generic customer

ART – a generic customer age late 50s or early 60s
