This Saturday we are holding auditions for a new Feature Film entitled GENESIS. 

Auditions will be held this Saturday, May 26th, in the Bumphrey Conference Room in the Kent Public Library from 2 pm to 4 pm. 
Below you will find character analysis. 

Auditioners will be given sides to read based on the characters that they are interested in. Monologues are not necessary but they are accepted.

Cast of Characters:

APRIL DAY – (mid 20s) A lonely nurse looking for affection throughout her daily, mundane routine. Usually spending her nights with a bottle of wine and one of her neighbor’s cats, she slowly starts questioning her sanity once her life is infiltrated by an eccentric stalker.

DR. JACK CONNERS – (late 30s – mid 40s) Resident physician at April’s hospital. Ambitious, handsome, and charming are just some of the words that describe this lovable doctor.

BRIAN GARDENER – (mid 20s) A mysterious young man who utilizes his charisma and eccentric charm to blend in to the societal norm by day. By night, however, he finds his pleasure in the shadows as he stalks the woman of his dreams. After being rejected by the real world he creates a world of fantasy around him, entrapping all those he encounters.

TRUDY CARLISLE – (50s) An aging landlady, plagued by an army of cats and delusions of stardom. She cares and looks after April more than her other tenants as she fears her fame and beauty has brought a string of voyeurs to their building.

MR. HARTFORD – (70s+) An old patient of Dr. Connors and Nurse Day.

MAY FLOWERS – (mid 20s) A quirky flower shop cashier who becomes romantically involved with Brian. Smart, witty and compassionate.

NURSE – (Any) Another nurse of April’s rotation.

PATIENT – (Any) A seizing patient under the care of Dr. Connors and Nurse April.

CHIEF OF MEDECINE – (50s+) A stern but fair businessman in charge of the hospital. April and Dr. Connors’ boss.

JUNE – (Baby) Brian and May’s newborn daughter.

SECRETARY – (Any) The Chief of Medicine’s Secretary.

ANNOUNCER 1 – (Any) Speaks over the hospital’s loudspeaker.

ANNOUNCER 2 – (Any) Spokesperson for the video game Genesis.

Filming will take place July 24th - August 15th in the Kent/Youngstown area.
