Youth classes and workshops begin June 25 and the final day is Aug. 11th (7
weeks). See individual class descriptions for dates/ times. During some
classes/workshops, parents are invited to observe a portion of the class or
enjoy a brief “performance” at some point. Teachers will give additional
details closer to the final day.



YOUTH SUMMER CLASSES

STARDUST
4-7 year olds
Mondays, June 25 —August 6 9:30 a.m.— 10:30 a.m.

​

Here’s a fun way for your youngest students to get their start in theatre!
This non-stressful approach to basic acting, singing, and movement will
teach your littlest stars to twinkle! Students will work on imagination,
memorization and team work, as well as the technical basics of putting on a
show. The final day of class includes a short, free performance for family
and friends.

RISING STARS THEATRE CAMPS

8-17 year olds (age 8 by July 1)

Students divided into groups based on age

Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 26 —August 11* 9:30 a.m.— 1:00 p.m.

Spend your summer on stage! Our Theatre has the perfect balance for those
who want a little OR a lot of theatre instruction for the summer. This is
an active and exciting camp for students of all experience levels to study
acting, singing and dance. Students will develop audition skills, learn
about theatre history, practice creating character, and build their
confidence. Students will be divided into age groups and will also work
collaboratively in a large group. Sessions can be taken individually or
throughout the entire summer, for a more traditional camp program. Session
C is three weeks and includes a free Showcase Performance on Sat., Aug. 11
at 7:00p.m. on the Cassidy mainstage (Session C also includes t-shirt).

Session A: Musical Theatre, June 26—July 5 (Tues./Thurs.)

*Includes short performance on last day

Session B: Musical Theatre, July 10—July 19 (Tues./Thurs.)

*Includes short performance on last day

Session C: Musical Theatre plus Showcase, July 24-Aug. 11 (Tues./Thurs.)
*Includes full Showcase Performance, Sat., Aug. 11, 7:00 p.m. Session C
also includes t-shirt.

YOUTH SUMMER WORKSHOPS

INTRO TO THEATRE *One-day Workshop* 8-17 year olds
Saturday, July 21

9:30 a.m.— 12:30 p.m.

This one day, three-hour workshop is designed for students who are
interested in the arts but may not have me for our regular classes. This
workshop includes theatre/acting basics, short scenes, a backstage tour
featuring costumes and props, brief theatre history/terms, and much more!
This stress-free introduction to the theatre world is perfect for all
ability levels. Students must have basic reading skills for this class.

AWESOME AUDITIONS *One-day Workshop* 10-17 year olds Saturday, July 14

9:30 a.m.— 12:30 p.m.

Do you want to be more comfortable on stage? Does the mere thought of going
to an audition seem scary too? You are not the only one! In this workshop,
students will learn how to prepare an audition in this fun, relaxing,
stress-free class. Cold readings, monologues, song choice—students will
learn everything from what to prepare to what to bring to what to wear.
Students will work on both acting and singing skills. There will also be a
mock audition included in this class. Bring any materials you have been
working on and we will send home materials as well! All ability levels
welcome, no previous experience needed.

* A minimum of 10 students is required for this class. Important
Info—please read before enrolling!

*Make sure to mark your calendars with correct dates and mes. They may be
slightly different from previous class sessions.
*Any 3-hour Workshop/Camp includes a 15 min. break— students may bring a
nut-free snack and a drink.

*Please register early and tell a friend! Sessions are subject to
cancellation, pending enrollment numbers.
