More about the SHOW:

A tale of faith, love and lipstick...

Witness the incredible real life story of the spectacular, rise, fall, of
one of the most adored and reviled women in American pop culture. .

The Gospel According to Tammy Faye is a new, Broadway-bound musical that
tells the rags-to-riches-to-redemption story of ‘The First Lady of
Televangelism’, Tammy Faye Bakker. From her humble beginnings in the
coldest part of Minnesota to the heat of tabloid lights, From her glory
days with the PTL, the 700 Club and a few puppets, to her downfall of
public humiliation and scrutiny, drug addiction, and a cheating spouse.
Losing it all, Tammy Faye had been knocked down, but refused to stay down,
got up, brushed herself off, and has proven to the world time and time
again, that if you fall down, you must have the courage, fortitude, and the
faith to get back up again.

TGATTF received its world premiere at the 2006 Cincinnatti Fringe Festival,
was workshopped that the Manhattan Theatre Club in 2007, and has been seen
onstage in Texas,Oregon, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

This newly-revised version of the show is in preparation for publication
(at long last!)
