South Euclid, OH: Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2018, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimaginig of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Revised and remounted from Pierre-Jacques Brault’s award-winning staging in 2010, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set on an MGM soundstage in the Golden Age of cinema. Cecil B. Demille’s latest epic ‘JOSEPH,’ is fixed to star a newcomer who is destined to change cinema’s black and white world through his technicolor dreams. All of the iconic characters that made headlines through the 1920’s and 1930’s:  Rudolph Valentino, W. C. Fields, Mae West, The Little Rascals, Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor, Laurel and Hardy, and the Marx Brothers are all on hand to playfully spin this Old Testament tale.


Featuring an ensemble cast of 13, the Mercury Theatre Company production presents Brandon Schumacker (two-time Best Actor winner at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta) as Joseph. MTC 2018 Company members Kelvette Beacham, Jonathan Bova, Sophia Dennis, Emily Grodzik, Brian Marshall, Courtney Nelson, Devin Pfeiffer, Paige Schiller, Melissa Siegel, Michael Swain Smith, Sunayna Smith and Bill Wetherbee will be on hand to bring out the colorful characters of yesteryear, and Eddie Carney will musical direct Andrew Lloyd Webber’s superb and familiar score.

Featuring the songs “Any Dream Will Do,” and “Close Every Door.” Rated PG.
