Association”)Synopsis:A series of vignettes set the fictional Ohio town of
Arcadia. Vignette #1 “Shortwave”: During his weekly late-night talk radio
show, Alan receives a mysterious call from a disturbed man named Kevin. As
they talk, Alan tries to figure out if Kevin actually has information about
dark goings on in Arcadia, or if he’s just a lonely kook.Vignette #2
“Arcadia Homeowners’ Association”: Charlie, the overbearing President of a
suburban neighborhood association, attempts to ensure that his neighbors
are following the Homeowners’ Association handbook to the letter.Character
BIOS“Shortwave”[ALAN] [GENDER: MALE] [ETHNICITY: WHITE] [AGE: 40-65]A
deep-voiced independent radio host. Plays up his libertarian
conspiracy-theorist tendencies on air. He is sensible, warm, and
well-meaning deep down. [KEVIN] [GENDER: MALE] [ETHNICITY: ANY] [AGE:
25-35]A frazzled and anxious caller. Feels things deeply and doesn’t think
much. Likely to forget what he’s talking about. “Arcadia Homeowners’
Association”[CHARLIE] [ETHNICITY: ANY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40s-50s]A
clean-cut man who likes to mean business in a calm and restrained way. He
couples this with minimal social awareness. [FREDERICK (FRED)] [ETHNICITY:
ANY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 30s]A settled-down family man who hasn’t quite
shed his douchey/aloof college frat persona, and maybe he never
will. [OLIVER] [ETHNICITY: ANY] [GENDER MALE] [AGE: 8-12]Spunky and
enterprising. Runs a quintessential lemonade stand. (Must be able to
pronounce big words). About Us and the ProjectWe’re both graduates of Case
Western Reserve University who are now studying filmmaking at Tri-C. Our
goal is to produce character-focused shorts that can serve as
professional-grade additions to both our reel and yours. All the shorts
will be self-contained but set in the shared universe of ‘Arcadia’ and
