Part-Time Theatre Faculty 

The School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration at The University of Akron invites applications for their part-time instructor pool.  The school is currently seeking candidates to teach Theatre Arts courses including: Experiencing Theatre, Playscript and Performance Analysis, Introduction to Theatre through Film, History of Theatre and Dramatic Literature, and Multi-Cultural Theatre.  If selected, teaching assignments would begin Fall semester 2018 (8/27/18-12/18/18).  A typical load is 3-6 credits (one or two 3-credit classes).


Required Qualifications

MA in Theatre with evidence of undergraduate teaching.  Demonstrated experience working with students of diverse backgrounds.


Preferred Qualifications

MFA or PhD in Theatre or allied field strongly preferred with evidence of undergraduate teaching.  Familiarity with online curricular delivery systems is highly desired.
