Local Theatre Looking for Teachers for Fall Classes

Academy for Dramatic Arts, Berea’s very own Youth Theatre is searching for educators for our two fall courses for artists 13-18 years of age:

Fundamentals of Acting 
Saturday Mornings starting September 15
Take eight weeks to recognize and build the foundational skills it takes to be a relevant, truthful storyteller of the stage. Sharpen focus, explore meaning behind text and dabble with different techniques of delivery in this workshop. By the finish of the session you'll become a stronger performer and have a monologue you can take to an audition. 

Vocal Technique Workshop
Saturday Mornings starting September 15

Explore different styles of music for musical theatre and techniques to perform them effectively. For eight weeks week work on site reading, using your voice to emote and tell a story and how to properly project your voice. By the finish of the session you will leave with a song that fits your voice and can be used for auditions. 

Times are flexible as long as they are on Saturday morning/afternoon. Classes run from September 15-November 3. Teachers will asked to submit goals and lesson plans for review. Please submit your resume as well as your hourly fee to afdaberea at gmail.com.
