Stocker Arts Center Presents “Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock & Roll”

Stocker Arts Center at Lorain County Community College will open its 2018-2019 Performing Artists Series with “Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock and Roll” at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, in the Hoke Theatre.

With a cast consisting of both stars from Broadway's greatest rock musicals, as well as incredible Rock & Roll singers, Berg shares the often unknown stories from 50 years of history of the music that changed the world forever. The show includes fascinating stories and groundbreaking music, with tributes to such important and iconic rock stars, groups, events and genres as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Frankie Valli, The Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown, Aretha Franklin, The Who, Janis Joplin, Woodstock, Simon & Garfunkel, Carole King, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Linda Ronstadt, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Disco, New Wave, Journey and more.

Those performing alongside Berg include Danny Zolli, Brook Wood, Kareema Khouri, Aaron Finley, Jarran Muse, with music performed by Berg (piano) along with Roger Cohen (drums), Abraham Saenz (bass), Mike Wilson (guitar) and Jeremy Beck (keyboards). Zolli, who performed last year at Stocker Arts Center in “Neil Berg’s Pianomen: An Intimate Tribute to Billy Joel & Elton John,” is renowned around the globe as a vocal powerhouse with an enormous vocal range and the ability to sing everything from Broadway to razor-sharp Rock & Roll. He is best known for his monumental number of performances, and record breaking number of performances as Jesus, Judas, and Annas in more than 26 productions of Jesus Christ Superstar throughout the world.

Stocker Arts Center offers valet parking and dinner prior to the Performing Artists Series shows. Dinners are held in the Norton Culinary Arts Center or Spitzer Conference Center next to Stocker Arts Center and seatings are at 5:45 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. Tickets for dinner are $30 per person. Tickets for valet parking are $5 per car and can be purchased in advance or paid in cash the night of the show.

Hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. The box office is also open 90 minutes before ticketed events (60 minutes before Student Matinees).
