AUDITIONS - CINDER-ELLA - Beck Center Youth Theater

Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater, one of the oldest continuously running Youth Theaters in the country, will be holding auditions on September 16 & 17, 2018 for the first production of our 70th Anniversary Season:

CINDER-ELLA
Written and Directed by Russel Stich

The Story:
Poor Ella longs to be like the other girls of the village, spending carefree days laughing and playing with friends, but instead she's forced to spend her time tending to the needs of her seven vain stepsisters. Excitement sweeps across the countryside when The King announces that his son will be seeking a bride. With the help of her friends, a group of feisty mice, and a mysterious fairy godFATHER, Ella sets out to meet the Prince and change her future. Join us for this original re-imagining of the classic children's tale from the author and director of last season's hit Snow White's Adventures!

Audition/Callback dates: (open to Beck Center students ages 6 to 19*)

*         Saturday, September 15: 2:00 to 5:00pm

& Sunday, September 16: 12:30 to 3:30pm

*         Callbacks: Monday, September 17 from 5:00 to 7:30pm

*Please note: Youth Theater roles are only eligible to students who will be enrolled in our Fall 2018 semester. Actors do not need to be enrolled at the time of the auditions, however, participation in the actual production does require Beck Center enrollment in our Fall 2018 semester. Students do not need to be specifically enrolled in a Theater class at Beck Center to qualify. Students enrolled in a Fall 2018 semester class in Beck Center's Dance, Music and Visual Arts Departments are equally eligible.

Bottom line: if you are accepting a role in the show, you will need to enroll prior to the start of rehearsals. Any questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Clare, Associate Director of Theater Education, at sclare at beckcenter.org<mailto:sclare at beckcenter.org>.

Our Fall 2018 catalog is available online at http://www.beckcenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/FALL-2018-Full-Online-Catalog-Links.pdf
