AUDITIONS - LAW & ORDER: NURSERY RHYME UNIT - Beck Center Youth Theater

Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater, one of the oldest continuously running Youth Theaters in the country, will be holding auditions on October 13 & 14, 2018 for the second production of our 70th Anniversary Season:

LAW & ORDER: NURSERY RHYME UNIT
Written by Jonathan Rand
Directed by Rachel Spence

The Story:
In the fairy tale criminal justice system, citizens are represented by two separate yet equally ridiculous groups: the fairy tale police who investigate fairy tale crime, and the fairy tale district attorneys who prosecute the fairy tale offenders. But some days, these heroes must face a far darker challenge: nursery rhymes. These are their stories

Audition/Callback dates: (open to Beck Center students ages 6 to 12*)

*         Saturday, October 13: 2:00 to 5:00pm

& Sunday, October 14: 12:30 to 3:30pm

*         Callbacks: Monday, October 15 from 5:00 to 7:00pm

You may sign up for a five minute audition slot at Beck Center Customer Service or by calling 216-521-2540 x10.

*Please note: Youth Theater roles are only eligible to students who will be enrolled in our Fall 2018 semester. Actors do not need to be enrolled at the time of the auditions, however, participation in the actual production does require Beck Center enrollment in our Fall 2018 semester. Students do not need to be specifically enrolled in a Theater class at Beck Center to qualify. Students enrolled in a Fall 2018 semester class in Beck Center's Dance, Music and Visual Arts Departments are equally eligible.

Bottom line: if you are accepting a role in the show, you will need to enroll prior to the start of rehearsals. Any questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Clare, Associate Director of Theater Education, at sclare at beckcenter.org<mailto:sclare at beckcenter.org>.

Our Fall 2018 catalog is available online at http://www.beckcenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/FALL-2018-Full-Online-Catalog-Links.pdf

Unlike some other youth theaters, there is NO additional participation fee required beyond enrollment.
