[NEohioPAL] Calling All Witches and Wizards -- Costumes for Sale!

Flashes of Hope, a charitable organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting pediatric cancer patients while also funding research for a cure, partnered with the Cleveland Cavaliers to host the annual "Big Shots & Little Stars" fundraiser last week.   The theme of the evening was the world of Harry Potter, and a number of costumes that were made or purchased for the event are available for sale!  Perfect for Halloween, ComicCon, or any other wizarding event!

The costumes include character replica costumes as well as some outfits that are inspired by the novels and films.  The female costumes were made to
fit teen/adult women, and each measures between 5'5" and 5'11" tall, with waist sizes ranging from 26" - 30" and bust sizes ranging from 34" - 39"; I can provide specific measurements for each costume on inquiry.   Sizes are noted for the male costumes.    You can see the costumes in action on the Cavs.com video coverage of "Big Shots & Little Stars," or I can provide photos.  All of the costumes were worn for a few hours at the event, so they are used -- but you'd never know it, they are in next-to-new condition!  We just don't have the room to store them, and would love to see them go to good homes where they will get to be worn.   All proceeds go to Flashes of Hope (www.flashesofhope.org<http://www.flashesofhope.org>), so you can get a great costume while making a contribution to fight cancer.

The following character costumes were purchased for the event (licensed Harry Potter merchandise in most cases) and for sale at a fraction of the original purchase price (note that where wands are included, they are the replica wands specific to each character):


*        Harry - white shirt (marked M, about 16-34), grey dress trousers (32/32), Gryffindor V-neck sweater with crest (L), striped tie, Gryffindor robe with crest, glasses (no lenses), wand: $100

*        Ron - white shirt (17-34), grey dress trousers (31/30), Gryffindor V-neck sweater with crest (L), striped tie, Gryffindor robe with crest, red/gold Gryffindor socks, wand: $100

*        Hermione - grey wool above-knee skirt, Gryffindor cardigan (S), striped tie, Gryffindor robe with crest, grey tights, Gryffindor post earrings, wand: $100

*        Dumbledore - purple velour robe with black/gold trim (opens in front, chest about 50"), grey velour tabard attached to robe at shoulders, purple velour stocking cap (unstructured), half-moon glasses (w/1x lenses), wand: $90

*        McGonagall - dark green velour robe with full, kimono-style sleeves (open in front, so size is flexible), witch hat with wired brim,feather trim and plaid band, rectangular glasses (w/1x lenses) - note that black dress is not included: $70

*        Hagrid - black cotton trousers w/elastic waist (36 - 40" waist, 35"inseam), maroon shirt (2XL), brown coat with attached vest front (2XL), pillow chest/stomach padding with harness: $70

The following costumes were made for the event...even the fabric to make these would cost less than the offering price (sorry, Miss Hufflepuff is already sold):


*        Fleur Delacour - sky blue dress and matching mini-cape, with double cuffs on dress and double collar on cape of navy satin and blue brocade: $50

*        Bellatrix Lestrange - black dress (chiffon over swirl print fabric with random swirls painted on, long sleeves are laced with elastic on underside and laced to the dress with elastic at the shoulders), genuine leather patchwork waist cincher with wand harness: $75

*        Miss Gryffindor - halter corset in red and gold with Gryffindor crest, matching skirt in Gryffindor stripe fabric with train and gold bustle (skirt can be pulled up in front with attached chains that clip to the bottom of corset), gold sequin fingerless gloves: $85

*        Miss Slytherin - green satin shorts, silver sequin and green/grey short skirt w/train that layers over a set of two hoops, strapless corset in green and silver with Slytherin crest and matching neck corset from which hangs the locket of Salazar Slytherin, silver gloves w/green snake appliques: $85

*        Miss Ravenclaw - tank-style corset in blue and bronze w/Ravenclaw crest, matching short tutu w/train, light copper satin fingerless gloves, bronze necklace w/bird : $85

*        The Golden Snitch - one-piece unitard, zips in the back, body in gold spandex with gold sequin panels, sleeves and legs in sheer glittery mesh, white glitter wings (48" wingspan) w/elastic shoulder straps: $75


Also available:  The Sword of Godric Gryffindor!  Metal, nice weight, with jewels and a plastic safety tip - a steal at $30!  And the Lost Diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw - silvertone metal with blue stones, doesn't have attached combs so must be anchored with bobby pins, but what a buy at $15!   Collecting horcruxes?  Don't forget the Goblet of Helga Hufflepuff -goldtone metal, not suitable for actually drinking from, and only $20!
