*The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail*

Synopsis: *The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail* is a two-act American play by
Robert E. Lee and Jerome Lawrence written in 1969. The play is based on the
early life of the title character, Henry David Thoreau, leading up to his
night spent in a jail in Concord, Massachusetts. Thoreau was jailed for
refusing to pay a poll tax on the grounds that the money might be used to
pay for the Mexican–American War, which he opposed.


Production Dates: November 15-17, 2018

Time: 8:00 pm

Location: Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts Center Cirigliano
Studio Theatre

Cost: $9/adults; $8/LCCC Students with valid ID, Children 18 and under,
Faculty, Staff & Seniors 65+


Tickets: The Stocker Arts Center Box Office is open Monday – Friday:  Noon
to 6 p.m. – and 90 minutes before ticketed events. Tickets may be purchased
in person or on phone at 440-366-4040. Tickets may also be purchased online
at www.stockerartscenter.com
