Arlene's Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, Ohio is announcing upcoming auditions. 

Auditions for “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” will be Sunday, Dec. 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at the theater. The show features roles for two men and five women and is under the direction of Aaron Drews.

The New Yorker describes “Trailer Park” as "joyful and unashamedly vulgar, Betsy Kelso's comic fable about women in a Florida trailer park and their no-account men is more fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer set to music.”

Show dates are Feb. 15-17, 22-24 and March 1-3. Auditioners are asked to come prepared to sing with sheet music and a list of potential rehearsal conflicts. No audition appointments are necessary…it’s first-come, first-served.

Auditions for “The Diary of Anne Frank” will be Sunday, Dec. 16 from 5-7:30 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 17 from 6-9 p.m at the theater. The show features roles for five men and five women of varying ages and will be under the direction of David Bucci.

The website says “In this transcendently powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit, and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, “The Diary of Anne Frank” captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence—their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief.

The audition will consist of reading from the script. Show dates are April 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21.
