Did you know that on this date -- January 11 -- in 1871 the US Congress received its first address from a WOMAN? The feisty female who confronted this powerful group of men was Victoria Woodhull who had a truly unique view on the rights of women to vote. She believed they ALREADY had the right since the constitution did not define a citizen on the basis of sex! She backed up her speech with action -- the following year she ran for PRESIDENT and voted for HERSELF!

She is also the subject of Eden Valley Enterprises  next storytelling and documentary project and YOU can help bring it to life.
Stay tuned for more information as we get this project started.  Sponsorship opportunities, a GoFundMe campaign and a fun fundraising event are in the works.
In the meantime, you can help us get her campaign on the trail. Anyone who donates $11 (or more) from now until January 31, 2019 to help celebrate her historic address to congress will receive a little e-book about her remarkable life written by Shelley Pearsall. You can get more information about the project and donate at victoriawoodhullforpresident.org
(You might not be able to actually get her elected, but you WILL help us tell her story! Thanks for helping)
Feel free to contact me with any questions.Margaret
