Hello,The Houde School will be offering a Classical Audition class starting in February on Saturdays from 10am-12pm with Shakespearian, Tom Cullinan! The class will be held at our Cleveland location, 1777 Coventry Rd. in Cleveland Heights.Classical Audition Class SynopsisThe Classical audition Class at Houde School gives each actor the opportunity to explore Shakespeare’s language and develop a strong classical monologue while working on a scene from one of the Bard’s plays. We will explore how the language of Shakespeare, far from being a barrier to understanding, can actually help guide the actor toward making strong performance choices based on its inherent rhythm. The actor will also work on and develop a Shakespearian sonnet, which can also be used as a second audition choice.Thomas Cullinan Shakespeare BioThomas Cullinan loves Shakespeare and has been studying, performing, and directing the Bard’s plays for more than 30 years.  He’s worked for Great Lakes Theater Company’s Actor/Teacher program, performed several seasons for The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, was a company member of the Minnesota Shakespeare Festival for three seasons, and played Hamlet for Bad Epitaph Theatre Company’s inaugural production of that play.  Tom is convinced that his passion is highly addictive, and that the beautiful language of Shakespeare can be some of the most rewarding text that an actor might have the opportunity to encounter.
