"The Thin Man"


Auditions:
Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Monday, Feb. 4 at 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Friday March 8th, 730pm
Saturday March 9th, 730pm
Sunday March 10th 2pm

 

Directed by Susan Wasserman

 

Rehearsals Start Thursday, Feb 7th.  Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and
Sundays (TBD)   

 

Synopsis:  The Gates Mills Players will be reviving the classic live radio
play, The Thin Man, a comedic whodunit from the 1930s featuring American
iconic duo Nick & Nora. The story revolves around a husband and wife team as
they crack the case with plenty of wit, banter, cocktails and an interesting
array of characters along the way!

 

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. A variety of roles
are available. Please bring your resume and a list of dates and time
conflicts. 

 

Cast of Characters:

Nick - lead- Well known, worldly private detective
Nora - lead- Nick’s sophisticated wife Dorothy
Wynant - young daughter of Mr. Wynant
Andy Reade - Dorothy’s fiancé’s
Mr. McCauley - Mr. Wynant’s lawyer 
Julia Wolf - Mr. Wynant’s secretary
Joe Morelli - gangster type
Mimi - Mr. Wynant’s wife
Gilbert - son to Mr. Wynant
Inspector Guild, Assorted other characters - Announcer of program, producer,
policeman, cab driver, doorman, news reporter and more
