Season

Audition appointments are now being taken for the 2019 summer season at
Rabbit Run Theater in Madison, Ohio.

The productions for the summer are "Forever Plaid", "A Chorus Line", "Mamma
Mia" and "My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra" as well as the youth
production, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr."

"Forever Plaid" a musical originally written, directed and choreographed by
Stuart Ross, runs from May 31 through June 15. The production is directed
by Ann Hedger. Musical direction is by Danielle Jones and choreography is
by Hannah Green. There are four roles available for men, ages 18 to 35.

Four young men, Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie share a love for music.
Rehearsing in the basement of Smudge's family's plumbing supply company,
they become "Forever Plaid". This musical revue is chock-full of nostalgic
1950's hits performed with classic barbershop quartet harmonies.

Auditions for "Forever Plaid" are Friday, Mar. 22, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
and Saturday, Mar. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m.

"A Chorus Line", the Broadway hit musical originally conceived, directed and
choreographed by Michael Bennett, captures the spirit and tension of a
Broadway chorus audition. The show explores the inner lives and ambitions
of professional Broadway performers and includes such memorable hits as
"What I Did for Love" and "One".

Show dates are June 21 through July 6. The show is directed and
choreographed by Jennifer Leinweber Ritz with musical direction by James
Slike.

Auditions for "A Chorus Line" are Saturday, Mar. 9 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

for men and women ages 16 to 45. Actors auditioning for "A Chorus Line"
should dress to dance.

Video auditions will be accepted for "A Chorus Line" for those who are not
able to make the regular audition dates. A video audition should include a
vocal audition with 16 measures of a Broadway-style song with piano
accompaniment as well as video of two short (approximately 64 counts each)
dance samples of varying styles, preferably jazz, ballet and/or tap. Actors
may reference this YouTube video (

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O64VMIFU850) and learn the opening jazz
number and the ballet combination for the dance portion of their video
submission.

rabbitrunoffice at windstream.net and must be received by March 11th.

The third main stage production for the summer is the musical "Mamma Mia!",
with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. "Mamma Mia!"
runs from July 19 through Aug. 10. The show is directed by Scott Posey with
musical direction by Alex Ulle and choreography by Jill Tschetter.

The magic of ABBA's songs propel this tale of love, laughter and friendship.
"Mamma Mia!" unfolds on a Greek island paradise as a young woman searches
for her birth father.

Multiple roles are available for "Mamma Mia!" for men and woman, ages 16 to
55.

The final production for the 2019 summer season at Rabbit Run Theater is the
musical revue, "My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra". The show was
conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson. Production dates are Aug. 16
through Aug. 31.

No less than 57 melodies made famous by Ol' Blue Eyes make up this musical
revue showcasing such hits as "Chicago", "New Your, New York" and, of
course, "My Way".

The production is directed and choreographed by Paige Heidrich, and the
musical director is Jonathan Gordon. Two roles are available for men and
two for women, ages 18 to 50.

Auditions for "Mamma Mia!" and "My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra"
