The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) with Sunrise Entertainment are holding
auditions for Chicago the Musical. Auditions will be held at The Stage Door
Theatre Arts and Dance Academy located at 23 W McKinley Way, Poland, Ohio
44514. Auditions will be held March 2nd and 3rd from 10am until 2pm. There
will also be auditions on March 4th from 6-9 PM.

 The production will be performed May 29th-31st at the DeYor Performing
Arts Center in downtown Youngstown. The show will be directed by Joe Asente
with music direction by Savannah Florkowski and choreography by Makayla
McIntosh.

 Auditioners should prepare roughly 60 seconds of music in the style of the
show, showing off their range. Please bring sheet music, preferably with
chords, as an accompanist will be provided. Please also come prepared to
learn a small dance combination. Callbacks will be scheduled after the
auditions, along with a dance/movement callback, if needed. Looking for
strong singers and dancers! Dancers who do not consider themselves to be
strong singers are still encouraged to attend, as dance-only roles will be
given. All roles are open for those 16 years or older.

Show Synopsis: “Set in the legendary city during the roaring “jazz hot”
20s, Chicago tells the story of two rival vaudevillian murderesses locked
up in Cook County Jail. Nightclub star Velma’s serving time for killing her
husband and sister after finding the two in bed together. Driven chorus
girl Roxie’s been tossed in the joint for bumping off the lover she’s been
cheating on her husband with. Not one to rest on her laurels, Velma enlists
the help of prison matron Mama Morton and slickster lawyer Billy Flynn, who
turn Velma’s incarceration into a murder-of-the-week media frenzy, thus
preparing the world for a splashy showbiz comeback. But Roxie’s got some of
