[NEohioPAL] CASTING: Short Film – "The Woman Who Marries a Sound"

*We're casting for "The Woman Who Marries a Sound", a short film being
produced in NE Ohio this summer.*

*Seeking the following cast:*
*ANNA, Caucasian Female, Age 8-10*
*EMILY, Caucasian Female, Age 8-10*
Anna and Emily are best friends growing up in a suburban Northeast Ohio
town in the early 90s.  They spend a summer exploring the woods, playing in
meadows, and imagining a magical world all their own.

*SARAH, Caucasian Female, Age 55-60*
After a lifetime of hard work and independence, a serious illness requires
Sarah to become dependent on her only child – a daughter in her mid 30s who
moves back home to become her caretaker.

*AUDITIONS*
Auditions will be held in late April / early May.  Filming will take place
this summer.  Roughly a few days of filming will be required for each role.

This is an all-volunteer project and the roles are non-paid.  However,
craft services will be provided and reasonable expenses (wardrobe, travel,
etc.) will be covered. Non-union talent only, please.

*ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS:*
Genevieve Jencson is a poet, writer, and performing artist who has appeared
in festivals and other venues across Northeast Ohio. Genevieve holds an MFA
in creative writing from Cleveland State and the NEOMFA, and a BA in
English from Hiram College.

Don Pavlish is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker who has created numerous short
documentary films in Northeast Ohio.  His projects have won many awards and
media mentions including appearances in the New York Times and on NPR's
Talk of the Nation.  Don is a graduate of New York University's Tisch
School of the Arts.
