In 1884, painter George clashes with his lover and model, Dot, as his
obsession with his art drives a wedge between them. In 1984, sculptor George
grows estranged from his family as he struggles on his chosen path. Their
stories converge, drawn together by history, family, and the drive to create
something that could change the world.
