Field High School Drama Club Presents:

My Fair Lady

Eliza Doolittle (sophomore Eliana Smith) is a common flower girl making her
living on the streets of London. She has a chance meeting with Professor
Henry Higgins (senior Brice Sweazy), a scholar of the English language.
Eliza hears the professor boasting to his colleague, Colonel Pickering
(sophomore Khinawa Marler), that just by fixing Eliza’s speech, he could
take out of her station in the gutters. Eliza contemplates the boast and
decides to ask for lessons. The Colonel, uncertain that such a transition
of stations is possible, makes a bet with Higgins. If Miss Doolittle can be
transformed into a lady before the Embassy Ball, he would foot the bill for
the experiment. Eliza proves to be a more challenging pupil than
anticipated, and Higgins will have his work cut out for him.

With classic songs such as Wouldn’t it be Loverly, With a Little Bit of
Luck, and On the Street Where You Live, the stage is set for a hilariously
heartfelt adventure. Will Higgins and Eliza be able to understand that the
may not be able to just push their differences aside, and they they both
may need to work for change?
Come and see May 3,4,&5 as Field High School Drama Club presents My Fair
Lady. Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4 shows will start at 7:00pm.
Sunday, May 5 will be a matinee at 2:00pm. Tickets are sold at the door, $8
for general admission and $5 for students and seniors.
